Black on Purpose Television (BOP TV) Network is the largest black-owned television network in the world and was founded by Michael Campbell. After 30 years in the music industry, Michael moved to Atlanta because he kept hearing it was "Black Hollywood". Seeing that our people were being misrepresented on television, Michael launched BOP TV as a "platform to show people of color in a positive light with no negative stereotypes". 

When I first met Micheal, I immediately saw his passion for portraying our community in a manner like no other network! He is laser-focused on only showing programs that show us in a positive image. The Derek Campbell (center of the photo) Agency of Nationwide Insurance is located in Fayetteville and Jonesboro, GA. I first met Mr. Campbell at a networking event where we had an opportunity to sit next to each other. Our connection materialized because of our shared passion for the Black-business community. Mr. Campbell is focused on creating a legacy within his own family as well as the families of his community. 

A father of 7 and grandfather of 15, he is laser-focused on making sure they all have something in place when he is no longer around. He actually had one of his pre-teen grandsons actively involved in his Legacy Series workshop. This young man has better drive and determination than many adults that I meet!
