Talley & Twine is based out of Portsmouth, VA and was founded by Randy D. Williams. His attention to detail is evident in not only his product but also in the packaging. My watch was shipped quickly and came with a special gift! You can see me wearing my Talley & Twine watch daily. Whether I'm attending a business meeting or going out with friends, you will seldom see me without it on my wrist.
I feel a sense of pride every time I buckle the clasp...and not just because he's from my home state of Virginia!
I first ran across Audria Richmond while listening to a podcast episode where she was being interviewed. Her no-nonsense style and direct approach led me to read her first book, Are You Ready For The Yes?. I read the entire book during a flight and decided to book a V.I.P. session with Audria when I got back.
Audria did not disappoint! She asked the tough questions and was the major inspiration in my launching my podcast - S.A.L.E.S. Is Simple™. If you are serious about taking your personal brand to the next level, holla at Audria!
You've surely heard that a dollar circulates in the Black community for only 6 hours - even though it's estimated that we have well over $1 Trillion in buying power!
My personal database of Black-owned Businesses grows every time I am exposed to another business. This exposure can come through personal networking, colleague referrals, social media or Google searches.
I am often asked "What do you plan to do with this database?" The short answer has always been that I refer to it personally before spending any of my own dollars. I also serve as a resource for others who are serious about spending money in our community first.
Now that my database is approaching 500 entries, I want to share the company information with you on a regular basis. If you are aware of a Black-owned business that I can share with others, please let me know. The only criteria is that the company has to be at least 51% Black-owned. I will only share public information such as website url, address, phone number, etc.
The first company I want to highlight is Le Petite Marche, which is owned by Marchet Sparks. It translates to "The Little Market" and is a great spot for entertaining clients and colleagues. The restaurant is located in the Kirkwood section of East Atlanta. Make sure to check it out and show our Sister some support!
