SERVPRO of Panthersville is located in Decatur, GA and is owned by Nadine Marsh Coleman (a few of her team members are pictured along with her). I met Nadine at a networking event and was shocked to hear that she owns the ONLY Black-owned SERVPRO franchise in the state of Georgia! Their affiliations include the Atlanta Black Chambers, the NAACP, the National Museum of African American History and Culture and the United Negro College Fund.

Many people don't think about disaster relief until they are scrambling to put their lives back together. SERVPRO provides cleaning and restoration due to loses caused by fire, water, mold and storm damage. They service both residential and commercial spaces. In addition, they offer professional cleaning. SERVPRO of Panthersville would be a great connection to have if you are an insurance agent, for instance. And for the consumer, make sure to request that your insurance company use this local Black-owned franchise if the need arises.  

Brian Joubert started L&B Tax Service in 1996 with visions of being the next H&R Block or Jackson-Hewitt. He said to himself that "if they can have multiple locations, why can't I?" Having owned a courier service previously, L&B's claim to fame was the fact that they picked up and delivered clients' taxes in and around the Atlanta area. L&B has grown from its Mableton, GA headquarters to offices in Houston, D.C., New Orleans, and Nashville.

While being the true CEO of the company, you may catch Brian traveling to highlight black-owned businesses across the nation. After visiting all 50 states and all 7 continents, Brian is now beginning his next round of travel to visit every professional basketball arena in the country.

Rory Woodfaulk opened his Chick-Fil-A on Cascade road in 2017. Nestled in the middle of a thriving Black area, this Chick-Fil-A serves more than just food. Rory is proud to have nearly 100 employees on his staff which consist of high school students learning the value of hard work as well as college students who he brings on during their school breaks. 

Looking to build a legacy for the community and his family, you may see Rory's wife and children elbows-deep in running the restaurant with him. Now that you know that this is Black-owned, I'm sure you will keep it on the top of your breakfast or lunch list when hunger pains hit you in South Fulton. (I included the company FaceBook page since it is more personable than the corporate website.)

Mack II is primarily located in Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and is owned by Mack Wilbourn. Mack II is fast-food management company that owns several franchises. Their restaurants have been in the airport since 1996 and include Popeye's Chicken, Baja Fresh, Atlanta Bread, Phillips Seafood, We Juice It and Famous Famiglia Pizza.

It's not often that you can go to one spot and have your choice of Black-owned food companies to choose from. Make sure you visit the website and bookmark Mack II so when you are traveling through ATL, you can rotate through the Mack II businesses when it's time to eat!

Karen & Littie Brown co-own the SpeedPro franchise that is located in Marietta, GA. Although they share the same last name, they are not related. But what they do share is a passion for providing quality products and customer service to their customers.
